  • Location Information: Postcode (to match you with a local agency).

  • Eligibility Information: Confirmation of whether you have a permanently spare bedroom.

 

3. How We Get Personal Data and Why We Have It

We receive your data directly from you when you complete a Lead Generation Form on TikTok or our website. We process this data to:

  • Identify the most appropriate regulated fostering service in your local area.

  • Facilitate an introduction between you and that service.

 

4. Lawful Bases for Processing

Under the UK GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Consent: By submitting a lead form, you give us clear consent to process your data and share it with a matched fostering agency. You can withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us.

  • Legitimate Interests: It is in our legitimate interest to process your enquiry to help address the national shortage of foster carers.

 

5. Sharing Your Information (Third-Party Disclosure)

To fulfill your request to learn more about fostering, we share the data you provide with:

  • One Matched Regulated Fostering Service: We will transfer your details (Name, Email, Postcode, and Bedroom status) to one fostering agency only that operates in your geographical area.

  • Platform Tools: We use TikTok’s Lead Generation tools to collect this data; TikTok also processes this data in accordance with their own privacy policy.

 

6. How We Store Your Personal Data

Your information is stored on encrypted internal systems. Once your lead is successfully transferred to a matched fostering service, we retain your data only as long as necessary to ensure the referral was successful or to meet legal/audit requirements (typically 12–24 months unless a longer period is required by the Fostering Services Regulations 2011).

 

7. Your Data Protection Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access, Rectify, or Erase your data.

  • Object to or Restrict our processing.

  • Withdraw Consent at any time.
